Out and About at the Mountain Makin's Festival
Mountain Makins is a weekend folk life festival celebrating the traditions of Appalachia through music, dance, fine art, juried crafts, storytelling, demonstrations, regional authors, childrens activities, food and more. The Festival is housed in and around Rose Center on the 4th weekend of October, and 1892 school building, which now serves Morristown,Tennessee as a cultural arts center and historical museum.

Heritage Trust Early American Christmas Dinner
The Greene County Heritage Trust held its 40th annual Early American Christmas Dinner Dec. 6 at the General Morgan Inn. The event, which heralds in the Christmas season, had internationally-known Jay O'Callahan tell the story of "Mainstreet, Jonesborough."
